Do I need to buy the books?

What does “Level 2” mean — will it fit my child?
Level 2 is written for ages 6–8, with read-aloud and listen options so it works whether your child reads independently yet or not. Any-form answers (spoken, drawn, built) mean a reluctant writer can still show what they understood.
Does my child have to read independently?
No. Every unit works by read-aloud or audiobook just as well as by independent reading — the reading chart even has a “listened” box right next to “read.” What matters is that your child follows the story and does the thinking; whether the words come off the page or through headphones is up to you. Libraries, Libby, and Hoopla make the audiobooks free.
Is this a full reading program?
It’s a reading + STEM companion, not a phonics spine. Keep your phonics/spelling/grammar; this adds reading volume, comprehension, and hands-on science.
What materials do the projects need?
Ordinary household stuff — a cardboard box, tape, scissors, bottle caps, string, a marble. Nothing to buy as a kit; each unit lists what you’ll need.
What do I need to print, and can I print for siblings?
A home printer (US Letter) is plenty. You may print as many copies as you need for the children in your own household.
